Every year we promise each other we'll keep the holiday line small. Every year one of us loses that argument.
It starts in June, which sounds absurd until you've hand-painted a wreath. Libby sketches first — usually far too many ornaments — and Madi quietly removes about a third of them before anything touches mesh. What survives that edit tends to be the good stuff.
This year's group came out of our grandmother's boxes of ribbon. She saved every scrap, wound onto cards, sorted by colour in a way that would make any designer weep. Four of the canvases are direct translations of a single card of ribbon.
We paint the holiday canvases in batches of a few at a time, which is why they sell out and come back rather than sitting in stock. If one you want is gone, the waitlist on its page is genuinely the fastest way to hear — we write those emails ourselves.
Three of the new wreaths are up now. The stockings arrive in October, once we've decided how many is too many.
